ohhhh this footage looks great finally a full frame Canon pro cinema camera to pair with all my RF L lenses! Already using the R5C but this is a nice and juicy upgrade.

Could you use continous autofocus?

Honestly I can get the same image from my R3 in 6k raw. The C70 image quality is better I think : more organic, more DR too

The moiré at 4K50 on the grey box on the right doesn't look very promising 😢. I was really hoping for the R5II to have a better 4K50 than my 4 year old R6.

The shot in the car is impressive but without seeing the lighting setup or comparing to another camera it’s hard to tell for real. Amazing shots anyway.

Its just a small sample so hard to judge but r5ii autofocus seems to be more confident than c400 which was micro pulsing all the time in your test

How do you compare this camera against the FX6? I'm hesitating right now: selling my FX6 for the C400, but I'm not sure it's worth it..

Yes, the footage looks incredible, I love canon's color science as it looks more real world than RED. The autofocus appears to be better than the RED Komodo X but it's still not as good as the R3's continuous autofocus tracking. The only issue I have with this is Canon had one shot and they blew it by not implementing a real IBIS internal stabilization in the body of this camera. The Digital stabilization looks jerky and weak ASF which is going to give us real problems when it comes to run and gun situations. I don't want to haul this camera around on a Ronin S3 pro or Ronin 4 gimbal for run and gun filming, too heavy and inconvenient! But my God it looks so Good! Oh, can you give us some samples of footage in normal picture profile right out of the camera not using raw, clog? thank you

Fantastic footage. If you don't mind sharing, what ISO base did you shoot these at? I've seen some really noisy tests out of the c400 but this looked clean.

I might be nuts, but the image is so clean even with jitters at 2 minutes I would prefer to not use resolve stabilizing over the none stabilized. The non stabilized just looks cleaner, and the resolve stabilization only smears certain areas to try and make it appear better, but it doesn't lol

This looks awesome. Getting more and more convinced about this camera. I own a C300 III and would love to see a side by side with the C400. Great work!

Dear Slashcam team. When i pause the video at random points and analise the stills i can see that focus doesnt catch up in time with the moving subject, but finds it again always with confidence. This results in ever so slightly soft footage and also there is rythmic micro pulsing even in momens with very little movement. Is this a setting issue or a general autofocus issue of this camera? For example slashcam footage of R3 appears focus sticks on subject better, and shows less of micro pulsing. Also A9iii appears to have a more confident af system seemingly on par with R3. Whats your take on this?

Confirms my purchase. Really pleasing images. 4K is really strong too. Crazy for only $8000. Canon is gonna shake it up.

Beautiful (amazing actually) skin tones and the tracking seems completely solid. The e-tracking? Not terrible and adding Resolve does a nice job finishing it off. Thanks for posting. I have one on pre-order and can’t wait to start shooting.
